Soft tissue techniques (myofascial massage)

A combination of manual techniques the physiotherapist uses to resolve musculoskeletal problems. They are performed with pressure that acts reflexively on specific points – the muscle responds by gradually releasing, from the cervical spine down towards the tailbone. We first work on the surface layers (skin and subcutaneous tissue), then on the deeper structures (muscles and fascia).

Joint mobilisation techniques

Gentle, repeated movements of a joint that restore mobility in cases of functional impairment. The soft tissues around a blocked joint change as well, and blood and lymphatic circulation is often impaired – mobilisation removes functional blockages of the musculoskeletal system caused by a variety of factors.

Back school

Practical demonstrations and training of correct movement patterns for everyday activities – proper sitting, getting out of bed, work-related movement habits and much more.

Rebox therapy

Performed with an electrotherapeutic device that has an almost immediate analgesic effect (reduces pain), improves the microcirculation of blood and lymph, and relaxes the muscles. It is used for back and joint pain, ligament pain, joint sprains, post-injury conditions, headaches and migraines, tennis elbow and tendon inflammation.

Electrotherapy

Physical therapy using electrical currents that reduces pain, releases muscle tension and improves blood flow to the tissues. The type and intensity of the currents is set individually by the physiotherapist according to the client's condition.

Ultrasound therapy

A physical therapy procedure and a form of heat treatment – it uses heat to achieve its effect. This helps relieve very painful conditions, both chronic and acute pain. Its effects also include releasing stiff muscles through micro-massage, which is another effect of ultrasound.

Kinesio taping

The tape is applied to the muscle under tension and acts on the subcutaneous tissue, where it triggers a reflex response of the nerve endings, lymphatic capillaries and blood vessels. It works on a neurophysiological principle – taping reduces muscle tension and the pain of an overstrained or torn muscle.

Magnetotherapy

A pulsed magnetic field positively influences biochemical and biophysical reactions in the cells, improves the permeability of cell membranes and the supply of oxygen to the cells. Magnetotherapy with the UltiCare LT-99 device is a complementary method alongside standard treatment procedures.
